ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY WITH US

As a Marketing Intern, you will primarily support the marketing organization's mixed-media content goals and help to promote awareness of the Systems X brand, values, and offerings. You will work directly with several internal team members on projects that vary from managing social media, websites, email marketing, blogging, and SEO projects. In addition, you will have an opportunity to create in-house marketing assets via photography and video. This position is a perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-starter, and motivated individual to thrive in the information technology sector. The goal of our internship program is to expose you to the marketing activities needed for our sector and determine if this career path will be an opportunity to become a full-time member of our marketing group.

YOUR INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

As a Marketing Intern, you will learn, grow, and contribute to Systems X's business while working on exciting projects alongside talented professionals.

 You will be performing the following activities:

  • Market research projects.

  • Creative support (updating graphics, taking pictures, filming, video editing, and photo touchup work).

  • Webpage content monitoring and updates.

  • Event promotion support (finding opportunities for free and paid promotion).

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities.

  • Digital Marketing and Content Development.

  • Support communications functions, including social media, webinars, blogs, podcasts, etc.

  • Perform research and creative ideation.

  • Provide constructive feedback.

This may also include:

  • Conducting market, competitive, and industry research and analysis.

  • Participating in video content for marketing purposes.

 

TECHNOLOGIES YOU WILL USE HERE

  • Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Cloud-Based CRM.

  • Cloud-Based SEO Management.

  • Cloud-based Project Management and Collaboration tools.

  • Drones for Aerial Footage.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT COME IN HANDY

IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO HAVE

  • Current college students or recently graduated, preferred majors include Business, Marketing, or similar field, entering their Junior or Senior year.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Enthusiasm to gain experience in a marketing role capacity.

  • US Drivers License.

 

CANDIDATE PRIORITY CRITERIA

  • Fluency in other languages, such as Spanish, is a plus.

 

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

  • Your Reporting Location is Chesterfield, Michigan.

  • You will contribute during the course of a 40 Hour Work Week, Monday through Friday.

  • A background and drug screening check will be conducted if an offer of employment is made.

INTERNSHIP APPROVAL PROCESS TIMELINE
